Certifications
A credential on your record, not just a grade.
Course credit shows you took a class. An industry certification shows an outside body tested you and you passed. AI Innovators covers the exam fee so cost isn't the reason you skip it.
This page is still being finalized. Final credential selections are being made with input from LBCC's industry advisory committees. Check back, or join the interest list and we'll email you when it's confirmed.
How it works
Three steps.
Step 1
Enroll and stay active
Vouchers are available to eligible CTE students enrolled in the learning community. You don't apply separately.
Step 2
Prepare in class
Exam preparation is built into coursework and supported with practice materials. You won't be studying alone on your own time.
Step 3
Sit for the exam
Faculty coordinate scheduling and the voucher covers the exam fee. Pass, and the credential is yours to keep.
The honest version: vouchers are funded by a grant, in a fixed quantity, for the 2026–27 year. They're available to eligible enrolled students while funding lasts. If demand exceeds supply, faculty will publish how spots are allocated before anyone has to compete for one.
Under consideration
Which certification you'll sit for.
Final selection is made with input from LBCC's industry advisory committees, so the credential matches what regional employers actually ask for. Options currently being evaluated:
| Area | What it signals | Fits with |
|---|---|---|
| AI fundamentals | You understand what these systems do, their limits, and how to apply them responsibly. | AI 40 / AI 45 |
| Digital marketing | You can plan and run a campaign across digital channels. | MKTG 47 |
| Small business management | You know the operating fundamentals of running a business. | MGMT 80 |
Specific vendors and exam names will be posted here once confirmed. Join the interest list to be notified.
